It’s Mask Day Wednesday! JK, I just made that up. 😜
Five years ago, I was having the worst acne breakout. I was trying everything, Clearasil, Neutrogena’s entire acne facial cleansers, and toners, but nothing was working until I applied Kiehls Rare Earth Deep Pore Cleansing Mask $33.00 for 10 minutes three times in one week consecutively.
This mask is pure magic! I equate it to a facial detox. It deep cleans your skin so well blackheads and pores will be exiled for good.
Here are the key ingredients:
Bentonite
It absorbs oil; it is often used as a facial mask to reduce shine.
Aloe
Widely used for centuries in traditional and herbal medicine for its skin-soothing benefits. It’s also known to possess hydrating properties and helps increase the water content in skin. The Aloe is sourced from the leaf of the Aloe Vera plant growing in the Dominican Republic.
Amazonian White Clay
Helps purify and detoxify skin. This clay is known to remove bacteria, toxins, excess oil and dead cells that can clog skin and result in enlarged pores.
When using this product a little goes a long way. There is a slight tingling sensation. It will draw out all of your skin’s impurities leaving your face soft, smooth and clean. It’s not hydrating, so I recommend an Essence, or a hyaluronic acid toner to get your skin plumpy.
I have been buying this product for a solid five years, and it has kept my skin flawless except when the monthly hormonal breakouts decide to wreak havoc. During this time, I apply the mask four times a week for 10 minutes.

It was funny to read mask day Wednesday as I always apply a mask on Wednesday as a moment of pampering halfway through the week 😀 This mask sounds amazing for me! Is it for all skin types though? My skin is driving me crazy lately. It can be oily, dry, super sensitive and then I have those days where its perfectly fine. Hope you’re having a lovely week <3
