Happy Spring day Friday!
If you are that girl who can throw a pair of flip-flops and a sundress in the am a couple of hours away from your scheduled flight, bless you. For those of us that are planners, then this post is for you.
Here are some ideas for hassle-free spring travel:
Purchase an on the go portable charger, or a handbag that charges all your electronics
You will never lose the juice when you carry any of these chic portable chargers or this adorable on the go bag.
Use Google Map Offline
Kartik Ayyar, a Google engineer, explained a hack to POPSUGAR for using Google Maps when you’re offline — even internationally. Type in “Ok maps” in the search bar, which will allow you to use it even if you don’t have data access! This works for both Androids and iPhones. You can also drop a pin on sites you might want to see, restaurants you might want to eat at, and definitely the hotel you will be staying in. That way, you’ll be able to look up directions quickly, since you won’t be able to search them when you’re offline.
Apply a hydrating mask to keep your skin hydrated
On long flights over 5 hours, I apply Lumene (looks like glass once applied) mask. It delivers an instant moisture boost, so you don’t land with a dry prune face.
Pack an eye mask
Turn your seat into your personal dream cave, especially if your neighbor can’t sleep, or decides to work on their huge ultra bright screen laptop.
Plastic wrap the caps of your toiletries
I have destroyed precious garments due to product spillage during a flight. I highly recommend using a plastic wrap on any and all toiletries that have a potential to explode during a flight. Open the cap, place the plastic wrap on the lip of the container then cover it with the lid. For your tube products, let the air out, so they don’t pop. Then put everything in a Ziplock bag for extra protection.
Keep your dirty clothes smelling like new
Insert a fabric softener into a bag with your dirty laundry. You can either pack a separate plastic bag or take a bag offered for free in the closet from the hotel. The strongest scent dryer sheets I have used is the Caldrea Basil Blue Sage. They smell heavenly.
