Barcelona is a city that visually allures you with all its beauty and magic. Walking down the streets will make your head spin as every building was created with such love and beauty.
I was totally cheesy on my first day and did a 4 hour Hop on and Hop off bus tour of the city. I took the Red and Orange line which travels through east and west, 40 stops. Each route takes about two hours.
Here are a few highlights of the bus tour:
Gothic Cathedral
Arc de Triomf
Poble Espanyol
Museu Nacional d’Art de Catalunya
I hopped off later in the day and went to the Miro Museum
Delicious afternoon Sangria
After the Sangria I was so sleepy, but this strong cappuccino gave me the proper fuel to keep going.
Sagrada Familia (a must visit)
Street view of Las Ramblas
When walking through Las Ramblas be sure keep an eye on your purse as there are pickpocketers.
The next day I went with my fiancé to a scheduled evening tour of Casa Batlló
After the tour we went to Hotel Majestic for delicious bevy’s
If you plan to visit Barcelona I recommend using Trip Advisor for tour tickets in advance as they offer a variety of options along with discounts.
Lastly, don’t get duped into buying the Skip the Line tickets for top sites. Among the first two, the line for advance ticket holders is shorter—essentially just a security line. But, there is still a line, which can be a surprise for many people. Make no mistake, though, it’s shorter; sometimes MUCH shorter.
Sending relaxing weekend vibes! 💋

Your are right – Barcelona is an amazing city. I visited it about two years ago for a long weekend and this was much too short. I loved to walk the littel streets at the gothic quarter where I stayed at a small hotel.
As a football (soccer) fan I also as impressed of Camp Nou – the larges football stadium in Europe.
Have a wonderful day :-*
