Top 5 Nude Lipsticks

Happy Saturday!

Can you believe Spring will arrive in 5 days!  Yippie, pom poms in the air.

I usually do not post any makeup tips as I am clueless on the application.  However, Mademoiselle O’ Lantern is makeup beauty extraordinaire and I wanted to share her post on nude lipsticks to celebrate Spring fever.

Hello my pumpkins!!!!!!!

I hope you are all doing well. In today’s post, I am sharing with you my top favorite nude lipsticks. I am all about bold lip colors however I do like my nudes and trust me, I am so picky at choosing a nude lipstick [or liquid lipstick] because I either find the nude to be too pink or too beige or I just hate the formula.

If you wish to know what are my top 5 nude lipsticks, keep reading and don’t forget to check out my previous post: Luna Mini 2 by Foreo: Hit or Miss?

5- Ultra HD Matte Lip Color by Revlon, shade “seduction’

Number 5 on my list is this liquid lipstick by Revlon, I absolutely love the shade of this lipstick, it’s the perfect nude for me and I love the formula because it dries completely to a matte finish, it is long-lasting, transfer-proof and is more or less comfortable to wear. The only downside is that I feel like this liquid lipstick oxidizes, the shade doesn’t look the same 2 hours after I have applied it and it pisses me off a lot.

4- Butter Gloss by NYX, shade “Madeleine”

I don’t reach for this nude everyday only because it’s a gloss and sometimes, I am not in the mood for glosses however, I love the shade, it’s gorgeous, very pigmented and the gloss doesn’t feel sticky at all, it actually feels like butter.

If you are looking for a really pretty glossy nude, that doesn’t have a metallic or shimmery effect, I really recommend this one!

You can get this lip gloss here

3- Colour Rich by L’Oreal Paris, shade 630

I’ve been using this lipstick for 1 year already and I still adore it. For a daily makeup look, I prefer using lipsticks over liquid lipsticks cause honestly, they are more comfortable to wear and I love the finish of this one, it’s more on the satin side because it’s not too shiny and it’s not matte at all. Plus, the shade is amazing,

So this is definitely a lipstick I recommend. I ordered Colourpop’s new Lux lipstick, I am trying to find a cruelty-free dupe for this one so if I do find one, I’ll let you know.

2- Soft Matte Lip cream by NYX, in shade “Stockholm”

If you read my review on those lip creams [click here] you know that I love them. I particularly love two shades and one of them is “Stockholm”. In fact, this is shade is so famous in the beauty community, it is considered to be the perfect pink-y nude and I agree, this shade is gorgeous and the color doesn’t oxidize, or leave a grey residue on the center of the lips [something that often happens to me].

1- Soft Matte Lip Cream by NYX, in shade “Abu Dhabi”

On top of my list is this shade from the Soft Matte Lip Cream collection. This is MY perfect nude, I wear it more often than the “Stockholm,”even though they have the same formula, only because I prefer nudes that are not too pink and are not too beige and “Abu Dhabi” is this shade I love!

[So I swatched these by order: Revlon, Butter Gloss, L’Oreal, Soft Matte lip cream in “Stockholm” and Soft Matte lip cream in “Abu Dhabi”]

Extra

One of my favorite liquid nude lipstick is the Vivid Matte liquid lipstick in shade “Nude Thrill” by Maybelline, the shade is just stunning and the formula is on point [even though it is not transfer-proof].

That’s it for today. I hope you enjoyed reading and if you did, don’t forget to give this post a ‘like’ and to follow my blog [you can do that by email].
