Bananas for your Beauty

I read this post yesterday on The New Life Fresh You blog and I went bananas because I never knew the benefits of bananas for your skin, so I had to share it wth you all.

Cleaning your face with natural ingredients is extremely simple and beneficial. One fruit that has positive effects on your skin and hair is banana. Rich in vitamins A, C, B6 and B12, lutein and potassium, banana is good for dry skin as well as for normal or sensitive skin.

Banana masks do not contain chemicals and can be used depending on the benefits you want to get.

To fight acne

Because banana reduces inflammation and softens the skin, a mask made from this fruit will help. So, in a blender mix a banana with a spoon of lemon juice and 2 teaspoons of honey. While lemon juice balances the amount of sebum from the skin, honey has antibacterial properties, and banana reduces inflammation, leaving the skin clean and soft. The mask is applied on the clean face and allowed to act for 20 minutes or until you feel that the mask has completely dried. Wash your face first with warm water, then with cold water to close the pores. For visible results use this acne treatment at least 2-3 times a week.

Against wrinkles

Banana’s nutrients and antioxidants fight wrinkles and soften the skin. To prepare the facial mask, you need to blend  ¼ banana until it turns into a paste. Apply it on the clean face and let it act for 20 minutes, then remove the mask with warm water.

For dry skin

A banana-based mask is indicated for people who have dry skin because this fruit soothes and softens the skin. For preparing a mask you need a banana, an egg, a teaspoon of honey and 2 tablespoons of oatmeal. Put all ingredients in a blender and mix until the composition becomes homogeneous. The mask is applied to the clean face and allowed to work for 15-20 minutes. After removing the mask with warm water, swab your face with a towel, then apply a moisturizing cream. The mask can be used 2-3 times a week.

For your hair

Your hair needs a cure of vitamins, minerals and other nutrients beneficial to regain its brilliance and regenerate, especially in the cold season.

Bananas and yogurt mask – Twice a week, it is recommended to apply a bananas and yogurt mask. For this mask you need: 1 banana (2 if you have long hair),1 egg white, 2 tablespoons of plain yogurt, 2 tablespoons of olive oil, 2 tablespoons of honey.Blend the banana, then add the rest of the ingredients and mix them until you get a homogeneous composition. Apply this mask to wet hair and let it act for 30 minutes. Rinse your hair, shampoo it and rinse it again.

Banana and chocolate mask – Mmmm … banana and chocolate, the best combination ever for your taste buds and your hair. For this mask you need: half melted dark chocolate, 2 tablespoons yoghurt, 2 tablespoons honey, 1 banana.Blend the banana, add the chocolate and the rest of the ingredients and mix well until you get a homogeneous composition. Apply this mask to wet hair and let it act for an hour, then wash the hair as usual.

Banana and avocado mask – For this mask you need: 1 banana,1 avocado, 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil (olive, argan, castor, almonds). Blend the fruits and add the oil. Apply this mask to your hair and let it act for 30 minutes. Rinse your hair well and shampoo it as usual.

Banana and milk mask – To give your hair a shine during the cold season, I recommend trying the banana and milk mask. It is full of vitamins and minerals and helps to regenerate hairs weakened by external factors. You need: 1 banana, 2 tablespoons of honey,  1/2 cup of milk, 1 egg yolk.Mix the banana, then add the rest of the ingredients. Apply this mask on dry hair and let it act for 30 minutes. Rinse your hair and wash it as usual.

Banana mask is an exceptional cosmetic treatment that needs to get into your daily routine. It’s very simple to do, and the effects are guaranteed.

Banana mask is a treat for the skin and hair.     Love this post. I need to try mask for acne. I have some redness and scaring and really want to get rid of it. I used to have honey mask every week, but need to try this with banana, honey and lemon – what a great combination. xx

    Great article! I did not know that bananas are good for hair. I’ll definitely try. For me, it is important that the hair does not remain greasy after the mask, so I will exclude olive oil.
