Life Choices

A couple of years I was watching Oprah Super Soul Sunday. Carolyn Myss was her guest on the show. Caroline Myss is an American author of numerous books and audio tapes, including five New York Times Best Sellers: Anatomy of the Spirit (1996), Why People Don’t Heal and How They Can (1998), Sacred Contracts (2002), Invisible Acts of Power (2004), Entering The Castle (2007), and Defy Gravity (2009). Her most recent book, Archetypes: Who Are You? was published in 2013. She describes herself as a medical intuitive and a mystic.

She had these words of wisdom to share, which I took notes. Little did I know that one day I would be sharing them with you all.

Every single decision we make can either enhance your spirit, or drain your spirit.

Everyday we make choices that give us power, or give it away.

People suffer when they pursue, or chase a dream that does not belong to them.

Everyone has a path and a purpose. If you have life you have purpose.

Have no judgements nor any expectations about tomorrow. Give up the need to know what happens tomorrow.

Be fully present, appreciate all that is in your life right now.

When negative events in life unravel its because you had your life focused on a path that did not belong to you. You locked in on something that did not belong to you. Someone that did not belong to you. You lost track of being here now.  It should not have happened to me you begin to say to yourself.  Don’t live in shock, move forward because it was the best that ever happened to you. By the universe not giving you what you want it has protected you from the worst of you.

Life on earth will never be fair like we want it to be.

You know you are on the right path when you are not out in a position to betray yourself, or you feel like you have to negotiate your sense of integrity and values. Do not compromise with your heart.

There is an unease with you when you are not on the right path. You betrayed yourself when you feel unworthy, drained and depleted.

You are never on the wrong path. You are just not managing your life well. You are making unwise choices that are harming you. When your path begins to harm you then you have taken a detour.

Betraying yourself is worst than someone betraying you.

If people got what they wanted they would be in deep grief.

What you resist ends up showing more.

We are born intuitive.

Do not get attached to the outcome.

I know this is a lot for a calm Monday, but its something to think about before you slay the week.

Namaste 🙏🏼
