If you live in the east coast this is a smooth Acela Amtrak train ride directly to Newport.
Rhode Island is so chill and majestic. It’s new and old world chic-ness. You will be calm upon arrival.
Here are a couple of my favorite places:
Newport Cliff take a walk along the Atlantic Ocean, 3.5 miles. It’s where most of the mansions are located.
The Chanler at Cliff Walk after your long walk you can step inside for a well deserved drink
Ocean Cliff Hotel they make delicious Bloody Mary’s and the lunch is great while gazing at the New England coastline
Vanderbilt Grace hotel is a great spot for tea, or coffee
Castle Hill Inn the patio area is a must for a relaxing glass of wine. If you want to order dinner they will seat you in the main room
Bowens Wharf is a great waterfront area where you can visit to listen to live music, or just visit a local outdoor bar
The Breakers a must see 70-room mega mansion of Cornileius Vanderbilt
41 North its a gorgeous all white modern California feel hotel on the water. It’s a wonderful place to people watch as well as the boats coming in and out of the harbor
The Landing great place to watch the sunset before dinner
The Viking Hotel its an old world hotel with a fabulous rooftop bar
22 Bownes restaurant a great place with a panoramic view of the harbor
Studio 3 @ One Pelham a watered down drink place to dance the night away
Sailing harbor tours they offer romantic sunsets
