Do you ever get stuck in a mental headspace that you believe is a fact? I know I sometimes do.
Unfortunately, we are evolutionarily wired to exist in a state of mild dissatisfaction. It makes biological sense. Primates who are never quite satisfied with what they already have and want a little bit more were the ones who survived and pro-created more often.
Luckily, we are evolved enough that we can alter this wiring a bit through conditioning, learned behaviors and changed mindsets, but it’s a solid piece of the human condition, something we must always lean against.
Through self-talk with intention and emotion, we can alter these negative thoughts into positive facts.
I don’t have enough money for xyz. Replace it with
I intend to create enough money for all my needs and desires. I intend that this money will make me feel abundant, secure, safe and financially free.
I will not meet my soul mate. Replace it with
I will meet my soul mate when I am truly ready. Once I meet this person, I will have unconditional love, safety, security, commitment, marriage, with an unlimited amount of joy in my heart.
I don’t have time to workout. Replace it with
I intend to workout upon my terms and depending on how I feel it is time. Once I make this choice, I will feel healthy, vibrant, and full of energy.
Get it! The trick is to add a positive emotion and intention to each negative thought. Let your negative self-doubting beliefs, feelings, or mindset disappear like a cloud that floats in and out of the sky.
