What a Gluten face looks like

Happy Humpday!

I am writing to you from foggy and cloudy San Francisco! TBH I don’t even mind because it’s in the 60’s 😍

On the plane over to the West Coast, I was asked by the flight attendant if I wanted a bagel, croissant, or wheat toast and boy oh boy did I have to fight the inner gluten demon craving in me and say no.

I occasionally indulge in many gluten products, but in moderation, especially after learning the effects it has on our skin.

As you can see, eating gluten will jack your face up. There are some people who have legit coeliac disease, an autoimmune disorder that leads to the body to attack itself when gluten enters the system,

Gluten causes a leaky gut, and leads to your inflammatory cytokines acting up in a cascade of systemic inflammation. This reaction leads to your skin cells producing pigmentation, which is why you can develop dark patches and spots. If you are serious about getting rid of unevenness in your complexion, especially around your chin, removing gluten from your diet may be for you.

Of course, we all know that eating more fruits and veggies will do wonders for your skin, but you can also try taking a daily dose of Probiotic.

A recent study has shown that if you’re not 100% gluten-free, taking a daily probiotic supplementation could help you digest gluten. Probiotics have a specific strain of friendly bacteria that can help break down one of the major proteins found in wheat, which is responsible for many symptoms of gluten sensitivity.

Each person is different, but why not give probiotics a try if you don’t want to take the plunge and go 100% gluten-free.

Sending beauty vibes! 💋
