How I control my weight

Happy Friday!

Bikini season is upon us, and many of you have asked me how I control my weight.

It’s tough, and I have no miracle diet to reveal today, sorry. I practice a nutritional regime: 80% raw food, and 20% protein (fish, poultry, beef). First of all, the winters in New York will take a good woman down and convert her into a bear in hibernation, so I eat lots of soups to stay warm.

This is a typical week meal plan:

Breakfast

hot water with lemon
Matcha Green tea with soy milk
2 tablespoons of chia seeds
2 tablespoons of Aloe Vera Juice
Yogurt
a handful of blueberries, raspberries, and blackberries
16 oz of Green juice with kale, apple, lemon, beets, and spinach
some days, I eat two hard-boiled eggs, or an omelette

Lunch

Kale salad with avocado, or tuna tartar, salmon, or soup
Some weeks I steam broccoli with cauliflower and add some parmesan cheese for zest

Snack

Walnuts, Almonds (very little almonds as I breakout on my chin), raw pumpkin seeds, raw sunflower seeds, raw cashews, or Brazilian nuts

Dinner

Baked, grilled, broiled, fish, or chicken with vegetables.

Right before bed I drink spearmint, dandelion, or chamomile tea with one tablespoon of Apple Cider Vinegar.

When I am traveling, I go off the rails and eat every carb in sight, especially in Europe. Oh, those French croissants always lure me into bakeries.

Workouts

3 days Elliptical for 30 min, yoga, pilates and over 2 mile (3.21 km) daily walks

I am not perfect, and I struggle daily to maintain a healthy weight. The trick is to make healthy eating a habit, so your cravings will only creep up on you once in a while.

Sending healthy loving vibes for the weekend! 💋

Ive always struggled with my weight and it’s been particularly difficult for me to get back into shape, especially after breastfeeding, hat made me gain some weight, I’ve been eating okay and exercising but i have appetite lol so I’m doing intermittent fasting for 16 hours and only eatin during an 8 hour period. Lol. I mean also going to try to it out sugar and have one cheat day every two weeks. Fingers crossed I get results lmao.

Yes, that appetite after a baby blows. I feel you, been there years ago. Not easy that’s why I am sticking to fruits and veggies 80% of the time because I know I cannot be trusted with other foods. 🤣 🙏🏼 you get to your ideal weight. 🤗

A diet made out fruit and veggies definitely helps, also it’s super healthy. For me snacking is the biggest problem, I’m always hungry no matter what. Also Bosnian food is really intense, so I size my portions in order to stay in shape hehe. xx

Ohhh weight is the bane of my life! I carry far to much at the moment, but have very little will power! I had always been able to eat what I like until I turned 35, then it was like someone else moved into my body! I have just started running again, and trying to adapt some healthier habits. I eat a mainly pant based diet, so have to be organised with meal prep etc. This is an area I fall down in when life gets manic. I thing getting back into exercise is going to be the key for me! Have a great weekend xx

I hear you. I guess it’s up to us to keep some balance, but boy it’s hard. 🙏🏼 on your journey to good health. Have a wonderful weekend as well. 🤗

Thanks for sharing! I’m curious if you noticed a difference after incorporating Aloe Vera Juice in your diet? I have pretty dry and dull skin and going to decrease carbs (I read your other post about gluten 🙂 ) but also looking for something to add in my diet that will help
