The one beauty product you need this winter

How’s everyone’s Tuesday going?

Earlier this year when I was experiencing a massive breakout due to an allergic reaction to my acne cleanser loaded with Salicylic Acid I discovered Kiehls Iris Extract Activating Treatment Essence $45.00.

What is Essence?

It is NOT a toner, serum or moisturizer. You apply it after toner. It is a liquid made up of Iris Florentina Extract, Sodium Hyaluronate, and Lipo Hydroxy Acid (LHA). It has been widely used for centuries throughout Asia, especially by Geisha’s. Essences are lightweight yet packed with concentrated hydrating ingredients, which aid skin repair and cell turnover that promotes smoother, brighter skin with regular use. Think of it as a pre-moisturizer that nourishes your skin while balancing it to a more radiant and moisturized bouncy, glowing look.

Benefits

Anti-aging at any age
Natural moisture
Rejuvenation
Brightens skin
For dry skin – Use a moisturizing essence, packed full of hyaluronic acid, on dehydrated, tired skin.
For dull skin – If you’ve got dull skin in need of radiance, look for an essence that contains brightening pearl pigments and zingy botanicals to wake your morning skin up.

How do you apply it?

An essence is applied to a clean face by taps.  It preps the skin to absorb subsequent products, like serum and moisturizer effectively.

Here are my before and after photos:

Think of Essence like vitamins for your face, since it’s loaded with replenishing and revitalizing nutrients to help prevent and repair damage.

There are many Essence products out there, but the one that healed my acne was Kiehls.

I highly recommend an Essence as part of your beauty routine, especially this winter!

Sending beauty vibes! 💋

I’ve only ever tried one essence from tony moly and loved it this one sounds so so good. I don’t know that I can throw my money at them so quickly $45 is a bit much for me but I’m sure it’s a very good product, especially if you’re recommend it. 🙂🙂

Yes, I agree it’s pricey, but I was so desperate back in March in the middle of that breakout that I just wanted anything to heal. Also, Kiehls has a stellar return policy, so I knew if it did not work I could return it. 💋 xx
