Two Transformative books I read this summer

Happy Friday!

I apologize for my absence as I was knee-deep in Fashion Week shows, and events.

This summer I experienced many aha moments while reading two books by Dr. Joe Dispenza, You are the Placebo Effect and Breaking the Habit of being yourself.

You are the Placebo Effect is a fascinating book that describes how our thoughts and feelings create diseases. Dr. Dispenza describes the science in elementary terms how you, and every other human being, is shaping your brain and body by the thoughts you think, the emotions you feel, the intentions you hold, and the transcendental states you experience. You Are the Placebo book invites you to harness this knowledge to create a new body and new life for yourself. My awakening was reading that your negative emotions may literally be an addiction to high levels of our stress hormones, like cortisol and adrenaline. We create these hormones by thought alone. Shout out to Ranin for this gift of knowledge as she gave me this fantastic book.

Breaking the Habit of Being Yourself spoke to me as Dr. Dispenza empowers you to let go of negative beliefs and embrace the positive. This intelligent, informative, practical yet insightful book will help you be your best, freest self so that, you can create a new future. He helps you rewire your old limiting beliefs that are holding you back. My aha moment was when he describes how our hard-wired beliefs cause the same situations, or toxic people to appear in our lives over and over again. I used to ask myself “why is this happening to me” it’s because I was holding on to a false narrative, or a belief that was attracting these situations and people into my life.  🤔 Once you learn a new pattern of thinking you will create different results.

By reading one of these two books not only, will you be given necessary knowledge to change any aspect of yourself, but you will be taught the step-by-step tools to apply what you learn to make measurable changes in any area of your life.

Sending zen weekend vibes! 💋
