Ways to bounce back when you are run down

There are times when life can get too much.

Our minds can get run down with work, children, or school.

The American Psychological Association studies stress in the United States.

According to its 2015 study, stress levels in the United States have seen a slight increase in the past two years and Millennials are the most stressed out generation in the United States. The study also suggests that regardless of gender, both men and women rate money and work as significant sources of stress.

When I was a single mom working two jobs plus school, I had a meltdown, but lucky for me I had an incredible mentor who shared with me these valuable secrets to cope with my rundown, tired soul.

Yoga

Yoga is a mind-body practice that combines physical poses, controlled breathing, and meditation to relax your body. Yoga helps reduce stress, lower blood pressure and lower your heart rate. It forces you to practice breathing while doing the poses, which is a form of meditation to calm your nerves. Don’t be intimidated if you cannot do the poses, start slow and steady. Go to YouTube to find a plethora of videos.

Talk to a therapist, mentor, or trusted friend

I was not able to afford a therapist, but I had a mentor that was 20 years plus my senior. She had lived life and had wise advice to share with me. Just talking about an issue allows you to analyze it with another person to gain insight and view your situation from a different perspective.

Mental dump onto a Journal

When you pour out your thoughts into a piece of paper, it allows you to identify your emotions. Write everything down that burdens you, release it out of you. List an action plan on how to resolve what aches you only if you are mentally ready.

Take a healing bath, or swim

Get into a tub, or swim. Our bodies associate horizontal positions with relaxation and vulnerability, particularly in the bath, which possibly mimics the warm, liquid conditions of the womb. If you decide to swim in the ocean, the healing salt water will lift your energy.

These are just a few tips that can help you bounce back from rundown.

When you take the time to give to yourself in healing, loving ways your body and mind will reward you.

Namaste! 💋🙏🏼

I’m stressed almost daily and it’s not always due to people or problems, I just worry too much, I’m a natural worrier and that affects me in the long run and I stress myself out haha. I need a break from myself 🤣

Definitely try yoga, or meditation to calm your worried mind. I did not mention meditation in post because I write about it too much, but it really helps. 🙏🏼

When I lived in the US I took a bath almost every day b/c it was a great way to relax after a long day. Now I don’t have a bathtub so I just take extra long showers.
I also agree it’s great having someone to talk to!
