What every boss babe knows – The sum of five people rule

Do you ever feel like a cat that has had nine lives because of all the friends that you have collected over the years? Some of them have stayed, others you have outgrown, but as you mature and depending on the phase you are in your life you are shaped by the five people closest to you, and that includes lovers. It can even determine your success.

Motivational speaker — and early Tony Robbins mentor — Jim Rohn says that “the five people you spend the most time with shape who you are. It borrows from the law of averages, which is the theory that “the result of any given situation will be the average of all outcomes.” We might interact with many people, but the few besties closest to us have the most significant impact on our way of thinking and our decisions.

So it makes sense to hang around people we look up to and purge ourselves of toxic and negative individuals who no longer share our goals, ideas, and interests, right?

You need to take stock of your friends and see which one will lovingly challenge you to make you better, thereby raising your average or helping you maintain a high one. Boss babes strive to surround themselves with people who can run circles around you in as many areas as possible, people who are exponentially better in a variety of ways. They should elevate both your thinking, spirituality and performance.

Here’s an example of author Robert Kiyosaki, he wrote Rich Dad, Poor Dad. He had two dads — his real dad, stuck in the middle-class with limiting views on money, and his poor dad, one of the wealthiest man in Hawaii and who was smart about getting money to work for him. By consciously choosing to learn about money from his rich dad, he acquired many beliefs and a positive mindset on how to become rich, which eventually led him to become successful in life.

Bottom line: The people you hang around with matter, make it count!

Sending positive, loving vibes! 💋
