Awakening your inner diva

As the year comes to an end, I often reflect on how best to practice self-love and care for the upcoming year.

I evaluate everything and everyone in my life so that I can be the best version of myself as well as a positive force for others.

Today I am sharing with you some of my tips to make your lives better for the coming year so that you can awaken your inner diva:

It’s ok to receive

We are accustomed to giving so much that we neglect ourselves. It’s ok to give back to yourself and accept all the love, or gifts that the universe gives you.

Don’t let anyone rob you of your security

Sometimes others are insecure about themselves, and they try to rob you of your happiness, or security.  Don’t allow them to dump their negativity, body shaming, or unhappiness onto you.

You are NOT in the people pleasing business

If your soul does not feel right about a person, situation, or a decision, don’t do it.

Don’t worry about what other’s think of you

When you live a life of self-assurance, integrity, self-love, and authenticity other people’s opinion does not matter.

Don’t feel and react

Feel, think, and then react. I am guilty of this behavior sometimes, so I literally have to “check myself before I wreck myself.” Figure out what pains you first.  As Dr. Pat Allen, a communication expert and Cognitive Behavioral Therapist says, “The way out of a negative feeling is a positive decision (what do I want or what do I do not want) followed by action or inaction asap.”

Don’t tolerate toxic people or a situation

When you tolerate a toxic person or a situation, it will produce cortisol. Cortisol is a stress hormone that makes you gain weight and strips your T cells ( healthy immune cells).  No one is worth getting sick over.

Sending everyone loving and positive vibes! 💋

I love this post, I think I forgot about so many points you mentioned. Especially the one ‘don’t worry about what other people think of you’. I’m still learning how to be happy with who I am and listen to my own voice rather than others telling me how to live my life. Thank you!

LOVE this post! I love the quote you provide, “The way out of a negative feeling is a positive decision (what do I want or what do I do not want) followed by action or inaction asap.” I’m gonna have to write that one down! I also never really connected the effects of stress being triggered by tolerating toxic people – that opens up a whole new world of deep thinking for me. Thank you! <3

This post is great! True words I have to remind some more time.
We only have this life – and we should make the best of it and surround (is this the correct word?) us with things, thoughts and People that are good for us 🙂

Hope you’re doing well and have a great day :-*
