The Questions:

  1. What’s your favourite thing about Christmas?
  2. What’s your favourite Christmas memory?
  3. Are there special traditions your family has for Christmas?
  4. What’s your Christmas wish? (Can be personal or general)
  5. What’s your favourite Christmas dish?
  6. What’s your favourite Christmas decoration?
  7. What’s your favourite Christmas song?
  8. Where do you usually celebrate Christmas?
  9. What does the ‘Christmas Spirit’ mean to you?
  10. Who out of anybody in the world would you want to spend your Christmas with?

My Answers:

  1. I don’t celebrate Christmas; I celebrate Hanukkah. Since Hanukah lasts for eight days, its super cool to give eight awesome gifts (one for each night). You give seven small gifts then a nice hefty one on the eighth, or you can choose to give one solid gift.  The food is always delicious followed by the quality time spent with friends and family.  It’s such a warm, fuzzy, and happy time for me.
  2. My favorite memory is when my family gathered in front of the Menorah lighting a candle at sunset, and my best friend, Regina (my childhood bestie) would always be there with us for our first night. Regina passed away, so I still have a fragile heart for that first night.
  3. My family’s tradition was the first night at sundown you light a candle on the Menorah and say a prayer followed by a substantial yummy meal. The next day is the same, but you attend extended family and friends homes.
  4. My Hanukkah wish is to have Chinese food with my fiance, son, and friends that are family on Christmas Day in Chinatown!  😜
  5. Dark Chocolate Rugelach54f66d183fed7_-_my-name-is-yeh_rugelach-s2
  6. Menorah
  7. Dreidel, Dreidel, Dreidel
  8. I usually celebrate Hanukkah in New York with my son and very close friends
  9. A time to reflect and evaluate with oneself on life, friends, job, relationships as well as appreciate with much gratitude for every aspect of your life whether its good, or bad.
  10. My son

    Hi Ingrid?
    I share your Jewish background.

I met you at Emma’s November blog party. I like Chinese food also. Maybe you can check out my blog if you need any blogging tips. That’s what I write about. I also have blog parties like Emma. I am actually having one this weekend.

Oh cool, for Hannukah, do you give gifts to a different person each day? Or how does that work? That actually sounds kind of interesting and nice 🙂
Also, thanks for the nomination. I’m not sure I’ll be able to fit it into my blog schedule because I literally have so much going on 🙁

Yes, you can give 8 gifts, or one big one. No worries about participating. I just wanted to give you some well deserved recognition. xx
