What’s a Thirst Trap Queen?

A shout out to one of my favorite gals Jocelyn for educating me on what a Thirst Trap Queen means.

For those of you that do not know the definition of a Thirst Trap Queen is:

Urban dictionary: A sexy photograph or flirty message posted on social media for the intent of causing others to publicly profess their attraction. This is done not to actually respond or satisfy any of this attraction, but to feed the posters ego or need for attention, at the expense of the time, reputation and sexual frustration of those who view the image or reply.

Here are some examples:

There are many variations to this definition as well as a woman who seeks attention and validation by exposing her body for others to view as a sexual object.

I guess it’s a generational thing because I used to get paid royalties on all of my images, so doing it for free is new to me, but it’s the thing now.

Some ladies report a sense of sexual empowerment, happiness, ego boost, a rush of adrenaline, an unleashing of inner sexiness and control, especially if there are thousands of likes. These posts are their creation and not of a man who becomes famous due to their bodies.

The only downside to these posts are the creepy men who slide into their DM. The comments can be obscene, but it begs the question? Are you asking for it?

What do you think?

I think it’s ok as long as it’s the woman’s choice, thats the important part. If she feels the need to show herself, good for her ! But as you said creepers are everywhere, fortunately the block option exists now 😊

I feel like I’m in between in regards to this.. I probably did it when I was younger, in my teens? But I grew up, got married and have become a mother. I don’t feel like I need validation from strangers about my body to boost my ego but I see people constantly doing it.
I’m perfectly fine with my flawed body. I do however know someone, used to be a friend of mine, who did this repeatedly. She is also married and is also a mother. I guess I was viewing it from a mother’s perspective, since I personally wouldn’t do that. Maybe I’m old school, idk..

A new term for me, thanks Mz Ingrid. I guess we are all guilty of doing it as times, as long as you kow it inside and you can control it , i think it is fine, of course with all good intentions
