London in the fall is breathtaking. Taking a walk in Hyde Park while you are surrounded by vibrant burgundy, orange and yellow leaves is so inspiring.
Here are a couple of my favorite places to play, eat and be merry:
High tea at the Dorchester is quite an experience. The extraordinary palatial space makes you feel like a king or a queen. The people watching is fun as there is a revolving door cast of characters.
Lunch at Scotts is an exciting scene. You never know who you will see as it is known for its celebrity clientele and London’s socialites. They have the best burger.
Zuma for dinner is one of my two favorite Japanese restaurants. It offers a fun and exciting ambiance. The authentic dishes are served with the utmost attention to detail.
My second favorite spot is Sexyfish. It’s exceptional Japanese food, but can be loud for some patrons. I like it because it provides a loungesque hip mood. The space is beautifully decorated, which adds to the experience.
If you are in a literary mood, stop by Heywood Hill Bookstore. It’s known to be the top-notch bookstore in London. Owned by a duke in Mayfair, it just celebrated 80 years in business.
More high tea at the Ritz. It’s like being in Versailles with its luxurious space. Don’t wear torn jeans! I was advised that I could not be seated because my attire was not appropriate. I then went to the bar next door to enjoy afternoon tea.
C London, when you want to have dinner at an out of the ordinary Italian, this is the spot. The restaurant is like a 1920’s cruise ship. Try the baked Tagliolini and Branzino.😋
For a swanky after dinner drink head over to Bar Claridges. They have an extensive bar menu. Just don’t order a margarita without telling the bartender you want it with simple Tequila. I made this grave mistake, and I was charged $80.00 because the bartender used Patron Platinum.🙈

Good morning Ingrid. What an excellent guide to the big hot spots of that great metropolis. However you forgot to mention any of the little cosy bars and restos where they serve a limited but fresh menu that changes every day and is simply written with chalk on a small blackboard. I have my favorite one in Knightsbridge. Un baccione.
