What do models eat during New York Fashion Week?

Yesterday was the last day of Fashion Week! My feet are screaming with joy as I was wearing heels throughout the week for shows.

During my print modeling days, I would stick to a strict nutritional health style consisting of 80% raw (nothing cooked above 118 degrees) and 20% protein, fish and chicken, which I follow til this day.

The hard working runway models of today are on their “A game” with these food tricks to stay x ray slim.

Upon waking: 4 glasses of hot water, lemon, and ginger. The lemon speeds up the metabolism along with keeping your face dewy, and the ginger helps with your digestion. One table spoon of overnight soaked chia seeds. The healthy dose of collagen boosts your skin cell turn over to protect you from the pile’s of makeup.

Breakfast: Omelette, eggs get a bad name, but the protein fills you up throughout the day.

Snacks: Raw organic Almonds. It makes you feel satiated because of healthy fats and a Matcha green tea for energy. Coffee does not deliver long term energy as best as Matcha.

Lunch: Avocado sans toast. Never eat bread while doing a photo shoot, or the cat walk because it bloats you.

Snack: 2 liters of water and cold pressed vegetable juice. The chlorophyll is vital for vitamins and nutrients. No one wants to witness a gal faint due to low vitamin intake.

Dinner: Kale salad with lemon and olive oil. You must eat before 8 pm. Otherwise, your waist could be a couple of inches larger because of the fiber.

I know you are looking at this list and saying to yourself “come on Ingrid that’s no way to live?” It is for seven days when you need to get paid, and this is your chosen profession. It’s like an athlete or any career where it takes discipline and hard work.

I took some photos here from the Prabal Gurung, and Anna Sui shows. I did not want to over load everyone with bad pictures of people’s heads sitting in front of me.

You look fantastic in this picture 🙂
Well, I would have problems with less eating – I love to eat 😉 But I think one week would be fine and I thought it would be much less a model would eat during the shows.
And now as fashion week is over you can step with flats 🙂

    Have a great day,

Thank you! I hear you. I love to eat as well. However, I needed to pay bills and live in NY, so I had to force myself to eat better to survive. When are you visiting? Can’t wait to meet you. 🤗

OMG That’s horrible to eat such a small amount of food, but I totally understand why you, and other models, do it. Every job requires hard work and modeling is no exception. Such and interasting post, I really enjoyed reading it. Would you mind check out my page? We can follow each other and be internet friends, I’d mean the world to me 🙂
    Love, Mimi
